We follow the National Cub Scout Programme and include a range of activities to allow Cubs to complete work towards challenge and activity badges. Full details of all badges can be found on the scouting website.
Activities are indoor and outdoor and include map and compass work, tracking, hiking, cooking, tent pitching, team and individual tasks, arts & crafts and educational items.
New Cubs will be invested in 4 to 6 weeks once they have a Cub Jumper and have learnt the Cub Promise and Law. Investiture will take place at the end of the meeting- family members are welcome to attend.
We will supply a scarf (Maroon and White edged at a cost of £5.50 to the Parent/Guardian), woggle and badges at investiture.
This can be bought from Scout Shops online at www.scouts.org.uk: or please speak to Leaders.
Cubs uniform should be worn every meeting, once invested, unless otherwise stated.
Subscriptions are made payable to 1st Great Cornard Scout Group, they are currently £40.00 a term per Cub.
Subscription money pays for membership fee to Gillwell Park (Association Headquarters), insurances, badges, buildings/ grounds, general repairs and evening activity costs unless otherwise stated. It does not include District events.
